Good evening, I just purchased a 2003 super duty with the 7.3. 191,000 bone stock. What should I do first with the truck? I want turbo back exhaust, programmer, pillar gauge cluster or digital read out on programmer. Any recommendations/ suggestions on brands and which to do first is appreciated.

Welcome to FTE and to the Super Dooper brethren
First order whats your goal, is it going to be a daily driver, tow pig, 1/4 mile dragster, or a sled pulling beast. Or a bit of all.

It won't be the daily driver. I have an explorer for that. This truck is the drive on the weekend and have some fun with. Fulfill my childhood dreams of always wanting a powerstroke, but not destroy it at the same time.

If you have the capital, the sky is the limit.
First make sure your truck is in tip top condition.
List in order
1. Egt gauge, trans gauge if auto,
2. intake 6637, Ford AIS or ?
3. Transcooler if auto,
From here the goodies start
4. Injectors
5. Turbo or at least a billet wheel
6. Fuily built tranny if auto performance clutch if hand shaker
7. Custom tunes
Depending on injector size the list gets more complicated
8. Suspension upgrades (track bar, custom drive shaft etc
9. Intercooler
10. Radiator
And the.list becomes mor than I can explain since I only went with 160/0 stock nozzles

Ok so I didn't even think about the intake, thank you. I was going to do a trans cooler, egt, trans temp, boost gauge to start. Do I need to do anything to the heads of iIput diffrent injectors in?

Nope, completly stock they can handle roughly 450hp, and all depends on the tune and if you dont plan of high reving the engine. Check my signature, its an obs but same concept, mine was design for heavy towing, daily, light to light rice muncher.

I would recommend the Hutch & Harpoon mod (do a search here). This is fuel related & a pretty common issue with these trucks. Not expensive but important. A valve body upgrade for the trans is also very helpful. Makes faster shifts &reduces heat.Congrats on your new truck & welcome to the club !

I would second (or third) gauges early or first. That will give you a base understanding of what is going on and as you add things you will be able to monitor and compare and keep yourself out of trouble. Lurk here and read to learn a lot from what the others are doing. Oh, and ask questions like this to get help.
Welcome to FTE and congrats and good luck on your new truck.
