More trouble in paradise. Yesterday, the neighbor has a package containing a new credit card taken off the doorstep. Thief heads for target, somehow activates it and starts charging. CC company smells a rat and puts a stop to it. New card on the way.
Today someone apparently pried the garage door open and tried to bust into the house via the door inside the garage. A couple things out of place point to a service provider. Coppers are there trying to find fingerprints on top of the item left behind.
My neighbor isn't some poverty case, but there ain't nuthin' in that house worth stealing.....
Well, as it turns out, just about everything we thought about the "attempted break-in" was wrong. Hindsight being 20/20, I can't believe we went down that road. Turns out the roomie got beered up, locked herself out, busted the door trying to get back in, and "told a story". Lucky she didn't end up in jail when she came home drunk while the cops were still there. (dui for sure). Anyway, the neighbor can deal with the whole thing. I still have to install the new limiter switch for her garage door opener but I think I'll make quick work out of that.
Bob, r2millers, was there. He always goes to that one and Phoenix.

Yes, a pretty exciting weekend. We camped in the offsite camping area on Napa St, 1/4 miles west. It's big enough to open your awning without hitting your neighbor.
We have a group that goes every year and we camp in a wagon train type circle.
Both races were pretty exciting Sat and Sun. Weather couldn't have been better and crowds were crazy.
Our camping area was sold out, ticket sales very high. If any indication of our economy, its booming compared to a couple of years back where they covered a large section of the stands to hide the lack of attendance. No more!
With some help from a FTE member, I wired my 7 way trailer plug to the Ford trailer wires. I twisted each wire, soldered with my mini butane torch, and applied a wire cap. Since the rear of the truck gets submerged in salt water from time to time, I was thinking about squirting copious amounts of dielectric grease into the wire caps.
I throwing it out there for you folks to tell me what I did wrong.
