Scanner for laptop
So iv tried looking for information on line but can't get much and the terminology is different. So what's a good program to get ? I want live data with graphing and function tests and of course DTCs. And something that'll work with most cars including my 96 7.3 diesel

autoenginuity is about the best laptop based scan tool. but it is expensive.
a lot of the guys are having good success using an app on their computer phone and something they plug into the OBD-II port. plus it is under $50

Yeah I saw they have programs from $230-2500 I'm wanting something in the $100-250 range and yeah I saw the cheaper phone programs but I want something easier to read, unless they offer good data stream and function testing
