The tool truck needs air conditioning in the box or the "store". The box had functioning air conditioning when it was removed from the donor truck. The unit was left intact except for the fact that now it is without an engine driven air conditioning compressor. I dont want to use an engine driven air conditioning compressor. I want to find a way to utilize what is remaining and somehow add a compressor that will be powered by the nice sized Diesel 8kw generator that will live under the box. I have been told this generator would power two 15k btu RV air conditioners. I dont want to cut into the roof to add a RV air conditioning.....The air conditioning unit is there already just need to figure out how to put a different kind of compressor on it than it had before. Any suggestions on what will work regarding a generator powered compressor????----
I think the issue you may run into is proper sizing of the condenser and evaporator.
I am not saying that it can't be done just it will take a bit of trained thought.
Have you checked with any place that does teaching of refrigeration? I think that
might be a good place to check and see if the instructor wants/is willing to take on
the project as a teaching project.
Nest luck and please post back I want to hear how this comes out.
