when i put my heat onto "defrost" or "mix" the compressor will click on. it doesnt click on if i just go to "floor". also, i have no selection between normal and max a/c. it just blows equally on both settings. is my switch shot? 1992 f150 i6. its an XLT model if that matters.
that plus i was told its to keep the compressor frome freezing up
It does help with that, but the main reason is to remove moisture in the air.. As in windows won't fog up as bad..(if the A/C is working like it should be)
