Hi guys, long time no yak.
I've been busy on my Fairlane and Mustang so they are taking up all my online time.
But had a great development.
Some of you may remember that my brother Scott found a real nice 75 1/2 or 76 F250 a couple years back.
It's been sitting in his barn waiting for it's rebirth ever since. But Scott has been busy on his Bronco and other jobs so it sits.
Then, my other brother Ryan's truck took a dump (chebbie).
He has been switching over to Ford for the last few years cause he's smart as a whip (dig).
Well he and Scott got to talking and instead of buying a new truck he bought the black beauty off of Scott and March 11th we are going up to NorCal to get it running well and bring it back to LALA as Ryans daily driver.
So we'll all try and keep you guys informed as to what we are doing to it.
Here's a few pix.
BTW love the gun rack.
are ya'all going to come down the coast or up and back through the valley when you take your little adventure?
I don't know Bro's timing yet. I have to come back on the 15th.
We're going up to the March meet this weekend so we'll yak about it.
If it was up to me we'd head back down 101 and see a few of the boys for a g2g over lunch.
Little update after a big thrash day.
Truck is rebuilt, running and has brakes. Dash is still a mess, nothing works. That and a muffler shop are tomorrow's jobs.
You guys are not going to believe how pristine the floors are in this thing.
Inside of the engine is beautiful.
Pics when I get home, later.
Marc that truck sure is sweet. Can't wait to see more progress on this beautiful beast. By the way how's that sweet lil 74 been treating you? My guess is pretty good since you got the u-joint issue resolved.
Hey Alex and Mike.
The 74 is a sweet thing. Now that I've been working on this 76 I'm getting kinda horny to do more on it. Spending all my money on my Fairlane and Mustang right now though.
We took the 76 out for a spin yesterday to get filled up with fuel.
The engine is great, it burned all the gunk out and roasted the acorns that were stored in the mufflers.
Romped on it a bit and it responded well.
The carb is a pos though. Couldn't get it to adjust correctly so it'll go in the rebuild pile. Scott is lending Ryan the carb off his bronco to get it down south then he send it back up here. Meanwhile I've got a pretty good stock of carbs at home.
Heading home today with fingers crossed
