G'day everyone, got the cab on finally.... bled the brakes last weekend, the residual valves leaked because the manufacturer didn't seal the end cap !!??
Anyhow a lick of 262 Loctite sorted that. Fitted the cable drive wipers yesterday
and run them, nice and quiet, they have intermittent too. Shoehorning the A/C
in today.... man, the hoses take up some room under the dash.... Here's a few
photos, Cheers.
The truck looks great Steve! Unbelievable how you've managed to incorporate so many improvements to the truck and still maintain the original design. Is that a battery cable running inside the frame rail?
Hi guys, thanks for the comments, the LHS of the dash is pretty full now, I've still got to squeeze four switches in the dash ..... where one A/C hose runs....
45jailbar the dash color is PPG industrial color hammertone gray, Joe 777, yes that is the battery cable in the chassis 2/0 gauge, overkill but I had it on hand.
I painted red dots on the A/C case so I could find the hole for the thermostat, I drilled two, one close to the TX valve the other at the other end of the evaporator..... one position might work better than the other ....
Here's a couple of photos, Cheers, Steve.
That thing just keeps looking better and better. Traditional colors, beautifully restored and some tasteful modern upgrades for driveability. Couple that with the tilt nose, and what ISN'T to love about it!

Hi everyone, A/C drains , fuel tank & seat mounts in last weekend. Bernette the
brake master cylinder is from a '74 - '80 F250, it has an 1 1/4'' bore, same as
the original, I have the big chamber port going to the rear brakes and the small
to the front. I wanted dual circuit brakes for safety. This weekend I'll start the wiring process, I bought a kit from a mob in Melbourne last year.
Cheers, Steve.
