My 18th year was kind of a waste, I don't want to relive it, but it would be fun to tack it on to my 60's; assuming it came with 18 yr old physical abilities (wherewithall?), but not the mental challenges.
Well From 18-25 I was living in Southern Italy- height of my peak physical ability, drove a very nice car, and was very popular with both American and Italian Ladies. I made decent money- (which I blew on cars and ladies) I traveled allot as well- I got married at 25 - and couldn't get along with my wife's boyfriend a year later. The base closed so the lady situation dwindled, I had a few Italian companions but things just "changed" - I put on a lot of weight. Returned to she states at 30 - went to college- dated a gal for awhile who was kinda sorta engaged to a guy overseas- then Dated a girl who died her hair blue and robbed me blind. There were a couple others sprinkled in but you know--- Met a gal working at the local convenience store- Married her 4 years later, been pretty darn happy ever since (gained more weight though) DOn't know if I went wrong in parts of my life or if it was all just leading me up to now.
It’s a winding journey, that’s for sure Chad. Do you still speak some Italian? We drove to quite a few Italian tourist spots between Christmas and New Years in 2005, had a lotta fun.
yeah, I think we end up where we’re meant to be, based on a thousands of choices.
