Saw this in the local news today. Poor old truck looks good from the top of the cab up.

85e150six4mtod is on the money... Joel (Tom Cruise) took out his dad's Porsche 928. While parked it rolled down the pier and unable to stop it Joel jumped on the hood praying it would stop. It did stop before rolling off the end of the pier....... Then the pier collapsed into Lake Michigan.
The phrase was said by the service manager at the dealership.

Always a few cars,trucks,snowmachines going thru' the ice every winter here in Vermont. A poor young 23 year old put his truck thru' the ice a week or 2 ago,got out of the submerged rig,made it up onto the ice and crawled 100 to 150 yards toward shore never to make it. They found him the next day. It was -22 below that Saturday night and never got above zero the next day. He did good to make it that far... tough guy.
We used to drive on the ice all the time when ice fishing. I remember one real cold day hopping back in the 68 Dodge to get warm occasionally and wondering why those guys over there never got out of their old junk car they were in. Finally we walked over to talk and found they had holes cut in the floorboards of the beater car and were fishing from the front and back seat! pretty funny back then! Gary
