my 1945 ford 1-1/2 ton has a bed similar to yours, i am not sure if i am going to re create it the same way, or just put a regular script bed on it??

I splurged on my '47 tonner, and went the the Dynamat route. It was spendy, but easy to install, since it came in pre-cut pieces and an instruction sheet for where to put 'em. With the cheat sheet, I managed not to glue it to the inside of the windshield and block my view ;-)

I just put some generic stuff, my brother had leftover from a sleeper cab, under the fuel tank in my truck. Be careful handling this material because the edges of the aluminum ply are very sharp. Kinda like really bad paper cuts sharp.
