Hello everyone new to this forum and hoping i can pick some brains! I have a 1995 F-250, 7.3 TDI, E4OD 4x4. Recently rebuilt the tranny and got it installed over the weekend and since its been back i have no overdrive. The truck also revs up like slipping between shifts but only with a little more throttle than just getting up to speed. I dont know much about the tranny i work at a ford diesel shop here in town but we rarely do tranny work and none of us have any E4 experience. Any help is greatly appreciated! Also i checked codes on the IDS but all i had was a baro/map circuit low code(replaced the map few months ago) and no trans codes. OD light hasnt flashed once and it still toggles on and off but doesnt affect anything.
Ive read so much in the last two days and i have no clue where to begin.. Sensors, wiring, valve bodies, pulling the tranny back out... A point in the right direction is all i need i have no idea where to begin and hate throwing money at something.
Did you air check each clutch when you assembled it? I think you have one or more internal leaks.
Honestly and ignorantly no.. First time rebuilding any transmission and it was and still is a learning process. So out she goes i suppose is the best. Once it's out what am i looking for and how do you air check the clutches? Knew i was biting off more than i could chew
This guy has a lot of info in his build thread: E4OD rebuild
Just ordered one! And thanks for the link there is tons of info in there. Going to pull it back out this weekend and weigh my options on just getting a new unit or trying this all over!

Might as well pull the one you have and take a look.
