ISO a transfer case shifter

Looking for a bw1356 transfer case shifter from an E4od. Having trouble finding one. Anybody know of someone selling new ones?

No, manual shifter and linkage. Doing a 4x4 conversion and I have nothing.

Search on eBay. I see them there pretty regular, in fact the 92-up models are so problematic that someone is repopping them. Hot tip - get the 88-91 type and you won't have any problems like the 92-up type do.

I searched eBay and didn't see anything. I will dig some more. Are you 100% sure the 88-91 will work with an e4od? I assume those are aod/aode. The m5od manual is different. I would sure like to know who's making the repop.

Is the 8-91 the one where you push the lever to the side then back to engage 4low?

Ok, found this. Now my question is, is the only difference between the shifters the plate that goes behind this piece and the rod going back to the transfer case. All of these on eBay show to work for all transmissions in my year range. Remember, I'm doing a conversion, so I have nothing to compare to. I've found a transfer case with the entire shifter assembly for $100, but it's behind an m5od.

Can't say for sure, but I know when the PSD guys do auto -> manual swaps, the only impact on the t-case linkage is the flat stock piece with the hole in either end. Length of that piece varies with the length of the tranny. I'd be willing to bet that's all you'd have to worry about, wrt. what tranny what in the donor truck. A lot of folks just fab a piece of the proper length.

Madpogue is correct. When I did my 5-speed swap (from an E4OD trans on a '91 model) all I had to do was to lengthen that linkage piece.

Did you reuse the plate under the shifter, or was the plate already on the m5od/zf5? Evidently, that plate is notoriously brittle and unweldable.

Pm sent. It's a 94 f150 4.9 e4od. Transmission is out of a 95 Eddie Bauer 5.8.
