hello. im new to the forum. i have a 1986 f150 i just recently replaced the motor with a new crate motor. bought a brand new carb and am in the process of replacing alot of the smaller parts. i have a part that plugs into an inlet on the back of the carb via a small piece of rubber hose probably 3 inches long. it is broken and id like to replace. problem is i went to orielly, autozone and an abc auto and no one seems to know what it is. i attached some pics. if anyone can help id greatly appreciate it. tia
oreilly website shows canister control valve...not same part. closes i can find was mixture control solenoid, so makes me thing its some sort of solenoid. but im clueless.
If it is factory Ford, it most likely has some numbers embossed or printed on it; find and type them here.
Typing in all lowercase without apostrophes and such (like you're relying on a smartphone's auto-correct thing) is irritating to read, I wish you wouldn't do that....

I replaced that part on my '83 a few years ago, prior to de-smogging it altogether.
It's the solenoid valve that controls venting from the carb float bowl, to the charcoal canister......on my emissions sticker it has the acronym SV-CBV (solenoid valve - carburettor bowl vent). Another one (CPRV - canister purge valve) controls the return of vapor back to the engine to be burnt.
Having the two hose nipples snapped off, yours won't be easily repaired & reused.
