Has anyone debadged the tailgate and left only the ford emblem?
Pictures??
I took off the "flexfuel" and the "texas edition" badges and thinking about taking off the "F150" also but would like to see how it looks first. So If you de-badged your truck please share a picture and if it is silver even better.

I love de-badged vehicles of all sorts. The only problem is that most of the badges have holes in the sheet metal. That makes doing it on a new vehicle somewhat problematic/expensive. The last vehicle we did this to was a 1977 Honda that we completely de-badged when we had her repainted when she was 12 years old. We kept that vehicle until 1998, when we had a line of buyers wanting her. She was 21 years old at that time, and we decided it was time...
If you can find the replacement badge online you can determine if it is a sticker or pin. Most new vehicles are stickers anymore, but there could be a few pin holdouts I guess.

How did you remove the Flexfuel badge? Heatgun or the fishing line trick?
How did you remove the Flexfuel badge? Heatgun or the fishing line trick? Josh
I used a heat gun and a nice sunny day. (Warm/hot Sunny day with direct sun for a while works the best.) Then I used a small flat blade screwdriver and without touching the trucks paint lifted the edge of the emblem till the double sided tape released. It isn't taped down a lot. Start from the center of the trucks side and work out board. Once I could fit my fingers under the emblem then I pulled it off with my fingers the rest of the way, nice and slow. Once the emblem was removed then I just rolled the rest of the tape off with my thumb. Cleaned it up with goo gone and waxed the area. Not a scratch on the truck and was the emblem was retaped to my toolbox. Lol
While we're on the de-badging discussion, does anyone know if the Ecoboost emblems on the front doors are just stuck on? Mine need to fall off, but I don't want to find a hole behind them!
