SUperLift K647 3" fr, 1.5" r

Anyone using this kit?
I don't want elcheapo lift for my new 33's
and I do not want to spend $800+ on BDS

Can't seem to find any reviews or users.

Reviews aside, look at the components for what they are.

New front springs
Twin tube shocks
Track bar bracket
Blocks
Ubolts

Super lift has a satisfaction guarantee
Satisfaction Guarantee | Superlift

The "el cheapo" component of that kit is the shocks, they are your basic twin tube $35 shock. Roughly equivalent to what the OEM shock would have been.

are you satisfied with your rear springs since they do not change the rear springs.
I would call superlift and ask them how the shock valving is compared to stock and what the spring rate is compared to stock. This will give you a reference point for how it is going to ride compared to stock.

Yeah, stacking rear lift blocks on a spring pack that twists like a wet noodle doesn't sound like a good idea.

Oh, and 33"s should fit on a stock suspension.

Okay,
There is a crap ton on this subject...but there doesn't seem to be a "less than 4" lift kit that is up to par from my research.
All the "level kits" seem to be just some junk tossed in a box.

What I would like to see is a re-arched spring, or new spring kit for all four corners and NO blocks. I would need a pitman arm solution as well.

...can't seem to find that kit.
There is a lot of talk on FOrd Code springs...but....can;t really find any exact info on how it will fit my Ex

So, I got a lot of nays....great....where do I go now?

Maybe 4" lift is not so bad

4" lift (SD) is going to set your X at 6"... You need to go to the tech folders add look at v/b spring mod or the post " post your measurements " thread. Basically you take the stock SD springs (rating of your choice) & slap them on You will gain right at 1 1/2" to 2" depending how you want to tweek them. You can call Jr. at ATS ( a sponsor ) as well, he will will fix you up EXactly how you want them...

The EX started out 2" lower than a same year SD pickup with similar engine and equipment, so yes, a 4" SD lift will net 6" on an EX.
You are looking at 33" tires, they should fit on the stock suspension at factory ride height, but I understand your wanting to give it some lift. But 4" of lift with 33" may look a little like skinny legs.......
I swapped in a set of OEM X codes (with an extra leaf) and got 3 7/8" of lift up front and I fully clear 35.28" tires (Nitto Dura Grapplers in 305/70R18E), I still run the factory pitman arm and track bar with no issues, have run this for 4+ years now. Out back I went with modded OEM B codes with taller blocks and some additional spacers (I tow very heavy and wanted more of a level ride under load). I was lucky and got my springs for free from a coworker who installed a lift on his pickup and wanted the old leaves out of his way. Good deals are out there, you just have to be diligent and patient in your frequent searches.
In my opinion 33"s would look great under an EX with the V codes up front and a set of modded B or c codes out back, about 1.5" to 2" of addition spring height, better ride and handling without looking like your EX skipped leg day at the gym.
Read through this thread to get a good feel for what some others have done with their rigs, it's a great bit of good data to absorb before launching into a lift. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...easurents.html
Then there is this chart that has been put together to help understand the various different front spring codes and how they will affect an EX.

This is my Spring cheat sheet complied from various posts here on FTE mostly from old posts by bruce1954 and Monsta.

The following only applies to 4X4 EXs, the 2X4 rigs have coil springs up front. All EXs came from Ford with G code rear springs, the V-8 EXs all came with B (front B code is much different than rear B code, confused yet?) 4100lb, all V-10 EXs came with C code fronts at 4300lb and all PSD EXs had D codes at 4700lbs.
All the other codes discussed come from SuperDuty trucks (they came with springs that don't suck from Ford.)
Spring........Capacity.....Rate lbs/".....Max travel.....V-10 change.....PSD change
B (V-8)......4100lbs.......330 lb/".........5.02"...........-0.25".............-0.66"
C (V-10)....4300lbs.......350 lb/".........5.01".............0.00"............-0.37"
D (PSD).....4700lbs.......380 lb/".........5.14"...........+0.33".............0 .00"
S codes.....4000lbs.......370 lb/".........4.34"...........+1.22"............+0 .88"
T codes.....4400lbs.......390 lb/".........4.63"...........+1.42"............+1 .11"
U codes.....4800lbs.......410 lb/".........4.89"...........+1.60"............+1 .32"
V codes.....5200lbs.......430 lb/".........5.13"...........+1.77'............+1 .50"
W codes....5600lbs.......450 lb/".........5.34"...........+2.77'............+2 .52"
X codes.....6000lbs.......470 lb/".........5.54"...........+2.90"...........+2. 68"
W codes are from F-450s and X codes are from F-550s and other SD trucks with snow plow prep.

The above spring info has been gathered from posts here on FTE by "monsta" and "bruce1954".

I see that is why your sig says x/b now.
I did do some more inteligent research and found this info now.

very repeated question, and really this just makes it look like people are lazy, but I did not find anyone SELLING springs that specifically say - 2"+ spring for Excursion.
On the SUperDuty side I see ebay and other selling springs that say 1.5" or 2" PLUS over what you have. Maybe I missed a guy that was promoting this info.
Just saying if anyone wanted to level out their Ex, and found out SPRINGS were the best route.....you would think there is a guy out there specifically selling spring with a label
Excursion, 6.8l, 2"+ front spring
Excursion, 5.4l, 2"+ front spring
that would be a point click sale, save a lazy guy the research.

I am a research guy, but now I see I was just lazy as well.

Thanks all!
