rear shock question

rear shock question
I have a 1994 F250 hd,4x4.I just put new rear springs on from a f450,it lifted the rear 3.5 inches.will the stock shocks work or do I have to get a f450 shock.

You want to get a new set of shocks to match the "lift". Your old ones will be outside their intended range, and likely useless. However, I don't know if the f450 shocks would work. Best to measure the new range of movement, ie, static measurement from shock mount to shock mount. You will have to estimate the compressed and extended numbers. Optionally, get a shock that is meant for a 3.5 inch or so lift. Rancho probably has them.

My F250 SC needs new rear springs. It is riding on the overload leaf so when I replace the springs it is going to get a lift back to the original. Probably two to three inches. If your truck had sagging springs and the "lift" returned it to stock or maybe an inch or so above stock then your stock shocks should work. However if your truck did get a lift from the F450 springs then you definitely would need longer shocks.
