Thanks folks. i will pick up some "new, blue, and improved DEF" now with genuine urea and available at my local DEF store.
I meant to do it today but my brain slipped out of gear after work.
If I remember correctly it goes into the larger hole, the one with the green cap. Or does it?????
Actually I have a large piece of pink duct tape over the DEF cap just as a reminder. I almost put some cetane booster into the DEF tank once!
It is rough getting old and I use all the reminders I can. The duct tape will have to do until they make a locking DEF cap. I also have to keep reminding myself that a GREEN pump does not necessarily mean DIESEL here in GA. If green is diesel it is a pure coincidence.
I like going to the island where the only fuel at the pump is diesel. Makes grabbing the wrong pump handle harder.
Same goes for the gas vehicles. I only go to GAS stations where diesel isn't sold. Luckily I don't have to deal with the Ethanol problem. Can't burn it here, so I can't accidentally put E85 in something that can't use that.

I only have a couple local station options without traveling lots of miles. What I found on a cross country trip last fall were stations that had 3 gas and a diesel handle on the same pump. There was one that I drove out of as it had an incorrect color cover - believe near SL City, Utah. For the most part on that trip, used mostly Pilot/Flying J with their discount card and at the RV islands.
The stations I have been too for DEF it was really really hard to confuse the 2 since the Diesel handle is exposed in it's normal location on the pump and the DEF nozzle is behind a slide-up plastic shield not even visible until you open it.
Put a 2.5 gallon jug of DEF in and in the information menu it said "OK" (as opposed to "LESS THAN 1/2 FULL") immediately. I have a 2nd jug handy and will always keep spare in my shed.
I have never seen a DEF pump, but then I don't stop at truck stops much. Over VD holiday we drove 700 miles and I never saw a truck stop. I don't drive interstates much.
At $10 a jug I won't go broke right away. I figure that should last me many months the way I drive.
