Yes, it will work just fine. There were minor differences over the years but they will all interchange and run in your truck. The main visible difference between the 90 and your 93 is the serpentine belt accessory system vs V belt system. They are the same engine.
if a manual trans truck, it will work fine. if it is an automatic trans pump for the C-6 trans going into a truck with an OD trans, the shaft on the driver side of the pump may not be the same.
but i am not sure on that, the only pumps i have ever messed with are manual trans and C-6 auto trans pumps.
Ok so the injector pump should be interchangeable is my underatanding... I have an automatic tranny E40D... I thought I would pick this one up as back up!!!

like i said, i really have not messed too much with the automatic pumps. the pump for the C6 has the shaft on the driver side with a little "T" end on it to actuate the VRV.
i would imagine it is the same for the E4OD trans also. but the manual trans pump does not have the shaft coming out of the driver side of the pump.
you can use an automatic trans pump on a manual trans engine, but you can not use a manual trans pump on an automatic trans engine.
Alrighty, your point taken but I will still continue to make sure these pump are interchangeable... Sure there's a difference between Auto and Manual... I was just curious if the pump was ever changed in regarding years!
The injection pumps are all the same in regard to bolting onto and working with any engine from 83 To 94, be it manual, C6 or E40D all you have to do it transfer the hardware from the side of the pump to your new pump. Differences in pumps are all internal things mostly for emissions I believe.
250 seams a bit steep for a used pump especially if you can't see it working, if you do buy it check and see if it's diesel soaked down on the drivers side of the pump where there is a arm pushing onto a small plunger, if it's leaking you will need a seal kit and have to do some r&r on that plunger.
i had 3 injector pumps that came off manual trans trucks that did not have the provision to mount the VRV on them.
now granted this was back in the early 90's, but they were like that.
that is the reason i mentioned it.
