428 rods
i have a set of rods with numbers C7AE-B out of a supposed 390, the book has them listed as "66-70 428 Police, 68-70 428cj, 68 427" the weight is listed as 762-774 grams. they are the last rods listed at that weight. the next rod on the list is the 65 lemans 427 rods @ 833-845 grams. does this mean i have the strongest or best rods from the factory that are not "high performance" or are there any differences between them and a set of regular 390 rods such as with numbers C6AE-A or C6AE-C?

All the same rods but good ones. C7AE-B with 3/8 bolts was used in the plain 390's and 428's, 13/32" bolts in the performance engines. Run the ARP 3/8" bolts and you have the strongest combo.
