Personally, as a former track only racer, I think that the EPA latest announcement sucks. Spent a lot of time and made some really good friends on and around the race track.
The crappy part of this whole mess is that you can pretty much kiss restorods, custom trucks / cars and even custom motor cycles good bye!
Essentially if you were to restore a 79 f250, you'd be limited to the crappy oem parts and absolutely no aftermarket up grades even though they may be more efficient than the design originally was.
So you want to lift your truck? It wouldn't be a stretch to have the EPA lower the boom on the suppliers of the kits as they are known to lower mpg and therefore increase emissions....
Also, those knuckle heads on that Diesel Brothers show on the Discovery channel sure as hell aren't helping the cause...
That's odd...I don't see any DPF tank or catalytic converter on air farce 1 or any of the other similar vehicles these government parasites use to jet set around the world.
You know what gets me. How many Homes in the Northern part of this Country Burn Fuel Oil for Heat. Emissions from from Home Heating Plants are completely unregulated and can be seen Spewing Soot into the Environment. Why does the EPA ignore this source of pollution, yet come down hard on our Trucks.

Nipper, its called 'death by a 1000 cuts. EPA now regulates CO2 (you know, the air we EXHALE!) and H2O (except swimming pools).

I forgot about that! There's still a significant amount of homes that are heated by fuel oil. I'd venture a guess that it's at least 30% of all residential homes.
I don't even think new fuel oil furnaces have to have emissions crap on them!
