Aftermarket patch panels

There has been much discussion about rocker panel rust and the lack of support for Ford to take care of customers. So in my case if I want the rust fixed, I'll need to take the truck to a body shop. The problem I've run into is that apparently there is no source for replacement rockers for the Scab truck. I guess they are made for the Screw models, but the only Scab option seems to be a full side panel available from Ford. I think that is priced in the $800 range. Is anyone aware of a company that makes the rocker only? The only other option would be a custom made panel from a fabricator, and most body shops don't do that sort of thing.

This isn't going to be real helpful but I wouldn't even consider chasing the rust till the cause is identified and fixed. Were you having an issue with a leaking rear brake light or the sat antenna?

It seems that most body shops these days don't want to play with rust issues. It always comes back.

I think the huge holes on the inner rockers have a everything to do with the rust. Some of them have a piece of tape over them, but some do not. I tried to plug the holes with the size plug that others had mentioned, but they weren't right. The next size up was too big, so it must be metric. I ended up just taping over them as was done by Ford, but damage was already done. After I get it fixed, I'll drill holes along the top and spray oil or Fluid Film down them.

Making my own sheet metal would be a great idea, if only I had a metal brake and/or English wheel. Of course then I would have to be eperienced at using them. Also, I'm not good at blending in paint. I want it to be as good as new when done.
