Abs light on
My abs light is on. The guy I bought it from said he thought it was the sensor but who knows. Is there a way to test the sensors to see if they are working? Also can anyone think of other possible issues to look for?

get or find someone with a more advanced code reader that can read ABS codes at least. or get something like Autogenuity [with the ford-specific enhancement] that can read all your vehicles computers.

for a quickie fix w/o a scan tool you can check the rear sensor that's on top of the diff. they pick up a bunch of metal debris from the gears and bearings. pull it out, wipe it off and disconnect/reconnect the battery. we see this a lot in our fleet of ford trucks and vans.
