Pleasantly suprised

I know this has been hashed over repeatedly, but it's so spread out its hard to find. I am looking for personal opinions and experiences.

I called Junior at ATS, very nice and helpful gentleman, and spoke to him about new springs. I was very suprised with the information he sent me, I will not be posting the cost here out of respect, but let's just say the dealer in my area will not be receiving any of my business after seeing the quotes.

My questions are as follows:

1) People with ATS springs, are you happy with them?

2) Did you mod them or have ATS mod them?

3) Did you go with modded B's or C's?

4) From first encounter I'm not really concerned about customer service, but what was your experience?

Sorry, I'm doing X codes up front. We tow a 36' TT with about a thousand pounds on tongue weight, leaning towards the C's because of this.

Get the modded C's you will not be disappointed!

Also make sure you have a sway bar on the rear and the steering box is in good shape!

Went to ATS for my rears, already had V's upfront, and got the regular ole C's.

Jr. was very helpful and handled it really quick and I would buy from them again in a heart beat.

I placed an order with Jr of ATS this Wednesday. For my 2005, 6.0, 4x4 Eddy Bauer. Based on all the great research provided by this website and Jr's help, I went with V's in the front and C's (regular). Decided to go with C's since I tow a 35' Contender Open Fisherman that weighs 13,500 lbs. Hopefully, C's will provide extra support over B's. I do not know if they are SRW or DRW. Guess I should have asked that question.

I did X code fronts and let ATS mod the rear C codes. Junior was great to deal with. My springs did squeak for the first few months but have settled in nicely and are quiet now. I recommend an adjustable trac bar if you go x code or bigger. I had to really fight my axle to get the springs to line up and the factory trac bar pulled them over to the sides of the spring pockets. I have a Zone bar on the way, and hope to get the front axle more centered with it. The ride is so much better both empty and when loaded. I won't quote prices either but ATS takes care of military folks... Not something I like to exploit, but appreciate it none the less.
