Why wont it work or will it ?

Hey guys iam wanting to add a coolant filter while iam doing my oil cooler repair. ... found one on ebay for 83. Bucks said its for a 99 threw 03 ps.... its a brackit with a filter and a few hoses..... i emailed them they said it wont work on my 96... so are they full of it ? Why wouldnt ot work ? Or what are you guys running thanks

I'm gunna say there full of it, is just a few hoses and a filter. nothing year specific about a coolant filter, unless they make some fancy bracket that won't bolt to your engine because something is in the way...

I'd buy it from someone else just to spite them for not knowing..

just run to napa and buy some tubes, fittings and the oil guard filter head. pipe it into the heater core lines and done.

I have that filter setup still on my truck as well as the international one.
Cause... why not.

yeah I thought about doing that and running a deslisite water pump with the filter on it also... cant hurt

laf, diesel site is ripping people off with a water pump now?
I gotta go look at this.

Oh, that kit.

I think i paid like 120 dollars for my IH pump bro.

Diesel site kit is a rip off.

International 7.3L Water Pump 1831676C92, YC3Z-8501AARM, 1823669C92

150 now.

The only thing you have to do is grind down the embossed part for the IH idler that we dont use.

I didn't think i'd have too and ended up having to grind it with it installed.
I think i paid 200 overall to do the whole thing.

Got the bolts from napa and some other parts.
