More recently my truck feels like it is "bogging down." Not a loss of power but there seems to be resistance coming from the left side of the truck. Im not sure if it could be the bearings or something mechanical. The engine gets louder when it happens. I can either power thru the sound or let off the pedal and it resolves. It is happening more and more frequent. It seems to happen more often now that it is cold. does any one have any ideas? I also installed a new swamps IDM which im not sure if that would affect or cause this issue.
A sticky brake caliper, a faulty APS(accelerator position sensor) might even be your tc unlocking. Anyway of scanning for codes?
Also a burnt connection in the uvch.
It's the Exhaust Back Pressure Valve (EBPV) closing on cold mornings trying to help the engine warm up. It restricts the exhaust and is normal, however most don't like it so we just up-plug the valve. It is a two wire connector just below and in front of the Turbo.
PCM controls the EBPV, no matter what IDM is in it. Your EBPV might already be wired open. Or maybe you've never driven it in conditions in which it would close (air temp < 37F)?
