I have a 98 f150 lariat with the esof 4×4. My 4×4 quit working I replaced the transfer case motor and solenoids but it still would not work so I took it to the shop and they said my gem module was not working so my question is what gem modules will work or interchange with mine? The one in the truck has part number F75B15B205ND or if someone has one that is identical for sale that would be helpful also. Thanks.
I appreciate your position but there is no proof beyond what your shop told you.
Do some checks yourself before changing the GEM.
1.Does the case motor run at all?
2. Has fuses feeding the GEM and vacuum solenoids been checked with a meter?
3. Has the GEM been inspected for water damage from a leaking windshield?
4. Ae there any other functions that don't work?
You need to look at these items yourself because you could change GEM and still be in trouble.
You need to come from a point of knowledge and not shot gun guessing.

Good luck.

The truck is actually my brothers truck from what he has told me is that the 4×4 just quit working no lights come on of anything. The trans case motor which is brand new works if he hooks + and- to it only. Also a friend that works with him also worked for ford and he had him look at the truck also and he checked out the solenoids vacuum lines and swapped the four wheel drive module with a known working one and it still did not work so he then sent the truck to a shop and they tracked the problem down to the gem module. I am trying to help him find out which ones are interchangeable with his or find him one for sale. Or what his options are for buying another one because I have called for where I live in GA and no other Ford dealerships have one and from what they told me Ford has no eta on them being in stock because they have a shortage of cores to rebuild. The Ford dealerships where he lives in IA doeaent have any either. So if I could find one for sale that would be good too.
