When using my AE no response from GEM module
The reason I hooked the AE up is because my windows, windshield wipers, horn, 4x4 quit working. When the AE is hooked up it states that their is no response from the GEM module. Does this mean that the GEM needs replacing. And if it needs replacing how hard is it to replace? I know the dealer will have to program it to my truck.

alright finally got this issue cleared up!!!! Bought the GEM from partsguyed.com last week and finally got to install it today after work!! It took about 1.5 hours because I was taking my time. Replacing the GEM on a truck with an automatic transmission would be alot easier because the clutch wouldnt be in the way. I got it installed and DID NOT have to get it programmed. Everything works as it should!! I called the ford dealership to make sure and they said I didnt have to get it programmed if I bought the gem that was specifically for my truck!!
