That was my thought. Let me know if interested. It's not going anywhere.

I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd post some pic's of my trucks bed I've been working on. First time I've shot color on anything in God knows how long. I'm no painter. But it will be fine for my ol girl. I'll start treating the wood, frame to bed beams, tomorrow.

It looks good. What color are you painting it?

The trucks going to stay as it is for now Abe. I figured the silver bed frame would go with most anything. Although they were painted the body color from the factory. I can buff out the blue to cute it up a bit. As much as I'm not a fan of that color. Originally it was red, I want to say with a white top.

The oak I'll put in the bed was logged, and milled by my brother inlaw. It came from a huge fire that happened out here in 93.
Going to go through the shackle bushing while the bed is off. Just takes time, and motivation.
Thanks for looking.

Your bed frame looks like it had an easy life or just very well cared for..

It lived its whole life on a ranch and stored in a shop or barn. The PO did haul something heavy on one side. The cross members on the right had lots of cracks around the rivets that I had to weld up. All in all it was pretty well cared for. It belonged to my brother in-laws brother. Thankfully my brother in-law didn't drive it much as he's pretty hard on equipment lol. I actually ran around with my brother in-law in this truck when I was a kid. He also had a 55 as well.
