Intercooler Pipes and Induction Elbows

Mine are starting to look a little worn out, boots starting to wear and such, does anyone have any a/m suggestions? Any performance gains with new pipes and elbows?

Minimal to none performance gain on new pipes for a stock engine. I usually go with stock boots but many use boots from Riff Raff diesel.

Banks offers a red colored kit.... not cheap, but take a look. Member King-bRanch has the Banks stuff on his truck, his avatar shows a picture under the hood.

That does look pretty sweet, I like the sinister too that blue is cool. Are there any advantages to the bigger induction elbows, or is that just advertising b/s.....

If you tune it and use an after market turbo and exhaust I'm sure you'd get gains from intake tubing improvements. But, I doubt you'll see anything on a stock motor.

removing restrictions is always good and often a successfully removed restriction is measured in reduced boost... you want to increase the amount of air it flows, a bigger turbo does that.

I liked the Riff Raff boots myself.

There isn't any performance gain from aftermarket intercooler tubes, and all of them that I have seen are much thinner and flimsier than stock tubes.
