So I replaced my clutch master cylinder due to the common broken pushrod issue, replaced all the bushings while I was at it and did the heim joint mod too.
Now, the clutch interlock switch was pretty dirty so I cleaned it up before I put it back in.
The issue is that when I have the clutch pedal down, whenever the brake pedal has pressure to it the starter will engage, it only starts if I have the key turned at the same time. It will also engage if it's already running. The truck will only crank via this brake pedal method, not via the normal clutch pedal and key.
The truck functions normally with the brake switch unplugged.
Please help!
LATE EDIT:
Just jumpered the starter circuit terminals on the clutch switch (red/lt blue) and it operates normally. I ordered a new clutch switch so that should solve the problem and maybe even fix my mystery problem with my cruise control.
The old clutch safety switch spring were pretty worn out as well.
