Can't find nss
Hi guys I have a problem with my clutch it kills the engine when its pressed and with the ebrake on it works fine I was told its my nss because it drains my battery and won't let the starter work when clutch is pressed and I've looked everywhere for it and I can't find it anywhere I've looked on the ebrake on the clutch assembly and brake pedal its not on my tranny either

I am probably way off base here, but your situation reminded me of a former problem which is kind of opposite of yours, but might cause others to think differently.
My 1986 with 4 speed manual O.D. has a clutch safety switch. This, of course, requires that the clutch be depressed in order for the starter to engage. The original switch was worn and the truck would not start unless the clutch was not quite fully depressed. Before it was pointed out that the switch can be adjusted, a replacement was installed and all is well, to this day.
I just wonder if perhaps the wiring to or from the clutch safety switch [if so equipped] became shorted, could that cause the engine to die when the pedal is depressed?

Found the problem
Turns out I don't have a nss yet they still sell one for a 1980 f100 3 speed manual. The real problem turned out to be a wire my clutch linkage rubbed on through the years and got a short coming from it I noticed it when I heard it every time I pressed the clutch when I was looking under the dash. After I ruled out the nss with the advice on here I thought I messed up the wiring since I swapped the 300 to a 1984 ho 351 but I checked the wiring since I used the original and everything was OK I also checked the computer box that i swapped in but saw no damage. My truck is 80 Custom F100 long bed with manual steering manual brakes and manual clutch. Thanks for the advice and I hope my experience helps anybody with this problem.

Ford does have a nss
My year model truck doesn't have one but a later model has it in the engine bay on the colum for a 3 speed. Some 3 speed models had it in the e brake. C4 trannys have it on the side, manuals on the top of the tranny same goes for the C6. Autozone has them for $33 listed as a back up switch it works as a back up and nss. Earlier models had a separate switches for the nss and back up.

No such thing!

What in the world? No such thing!
C4/C6 A/T trannys have it on the side of the trans case.
Manuals on the top of the tranny same goes for the C6.

See my signature, I was a Ford parts guy for 35 years (1962/97), so I know what the hell I'm talking about.
You are confusing the A/T's NSS with the M/T's clutch inertia safety switch that was first installed on 1984 F150/350's and Bronco's. The clutch pedal has to depressed to start the truck.
Upper pic: Here are the two 3 M/T shift rods from the column selector levers to the trans levers for 1980/86 Econolines (upper pic) & F100/350's (lower pic).
Do you see a switch? No, because there isn't one. The 3 speed M/T was discontinued after 1986.
Center pic (upper): 7A247 C4 NSS located on the manual control selector lever (7A256) on left side of trans case.
Lower pic (upper): 7A247 C6 NSS located on the manual control selector lever (7A256) on left side of trans case.
