Has anyone been able to figure out how to override the date requirement on the 05/06 Ford Service manual on DVD so you don't need to change the date on your computer?

It would be nice to use the dvd without changing the date on my computer. Probably a pretty simple fix for a computer guru.

Have you considered using a Virtual Machine? In simple terms, it lets you have another' guest' OS inside your 'host' computer. It's also really useful for applications that don't like your OS of choice. For example, I use Ubuntu Linux and certain things like the 1997 Ford Truck FSM CD/DVDs won't work in it, even in WINE (a Windows Emulator). So I installed Windows XP on a Virtual Machine by using VirtualBox, it runs in a window and the program can't tell the difference. Just adjust the date inside the guest OS so it stays valid. It's how I made Mazda's parts program for North America work even though it expired over a year ago.

The link in my reply takes you to a page here on FTE where this is discussed---shouldn't be any re-directions happening when clicking it.
