Projekt Crusty

Hi guys,

i read many great stories about restoration here. Today i want to show you some pics of my truck. Because my English is not so good, I'm not going to write too much text. I'll let the pictures speak

I bought crusty last year here in germany. My idea was to bring the truck back to the road as soon as possible. Ok... that was only an idea But look yourself....

First i start to fix the body

That was the easiest job... At the same time a buddy revised the seat bench.

Wow, that's a big project! I like the chain holding up the muffler. Thanks for the English because I don't know any German and Se habla un pocito en Espanola...

Now i start the next step; the Engine. It´s a 360 with a lot of leaks It was more oil under the body then in the motor.

There were an about 10 pounds of dirt on the engine and the transmission

Here some pics after ice-blasting:

Another 10 hours later. I cleaned the motor and the transmission with several chemical stuff and a drilling machine with wire brush.

Looking good. Gut aussehen.

Were you able to find all the leaks? What did you have to replace?

Amazing what time and some elbow grease can accomplish. Engine sure will look purty in the truck. Keep up the good work.

Looks like you're moving right along ...and, don't knock the oil on the underside of the truck. It might possibly have preserved the truck for this long.

Sprechen Sie Ingles sehr gut!

Nice work, Herr hot-rod. Tell me what is ice blasting.

I see another Classic Ford in your shop, a 51-52 truck. Is that yours?
