Picking up a new 6.7 but I have to drive it up the East Coast from Florida. It has just under 500 miles on the engine (2013). Will I need to do anything during the 1,000 mile trip? I can adjust speed, but only so much. I don't know if I need to break it in differently. My concern is just driving it at a relatively same RPM and MPH for that duration.
I don't want to mess anything up before I get it home
What is the history on a 2013 truck with an engine under 500 miles? If a new engine in a 3 year old truck, where was a new engine installed? What is the warranty status? If everything done by a ford dealer and warranty status is fine and it has new oil and fuel fuel filters, drive it. Break-in should not be an issue, you'll need to take more breaks than the truck. Drive reasonable.

I would be VERY interested in the answer to the above questions as well.
If you're concerned about the RPM level staying the same for two long, leave cruise control on and use the select shift to lock out a gear or two. You'll maintain speed but run at different RPM levels.
