Have been trying to sell a complete 2015 6.2 with all accessories with 20K miles for $1000. Nobody needs a 6.2. They last too long. Never seen this before and have been in the wrecking yard industry for decades.

They aren't super expensive to replace and it is a relatively new engine in general. I know tons of people who still wrench on their cars none of them would consider swapping their engine in this truck. Too new. Too expensive. Plenty still under warranty. Most use them for work.
This isn't a hot rod you drive on the weekend or a beat up old truck your dad helped you build. I wouldn't want the downtime of doing it myself assuming I had all the literature, equipment, space, and time.

This engine is going on NINE years old. Not new by any stretch.

OK, not so new.... but still dependable.

based on this forum... I know of (3) 6.2L that have failed... country wide...
I have been WRONG before.. and will AGAIN....

I know of several 6.2L. with well over 300,000 miles ( fleet units ).... reason when I needed a 2500 class truck.......
I went with the 6.2L...( a turned in fleet/lease truck )

I shouldn't have bought back my wrecked 2015. Thought the 6.2 would be worth keeping. I don't even want to hang on to it for my 2011 which has 115K. Maybe I'll just strip the accessories and throw away the long block. Seems like such a waste. Tranny and transfer case are worthless too. Going to pull the calipers and rotors off the axles and throw them away. Have 4.30 gears, another waste.

many love the 4:30 gears... sell the axles/gears....

engine has value.. you just need to wait or offer from a longer distance.. same with other heavy parts...

they are needed.. just not near you.

I personally know of one second owner truck that swallowed a valve at 115,000, but no known history on first owner's maintenance or driving habits; was replaced with a Ford reman long block
I have two ranch/work trucks with a combined 125,000 pretty rough miles, and never had a more reliable base truck in 35 years.

I might be interested in the complete wreck, send me some pics and specs via PM on here, or text them to me 5seven5six2six3six9two

The truck has already been stripped from the sunroof to the carpet and bumper to bumper. No sheet metal or frame.

Do you have contact info? I just picked up a former fleet 2011 with 180k. Clean truck, just high mileage and interior wear. Was considering picking up a complete interior from an XLT or better, and a spare drivetrain for $2k is a steal.
Although I'm in Central TX
