37" x 16.5 humvee tires fit on my 1976 highboy stock????

Hey everyone,
Trying to find out if military humvee 37x16.5x12.5 tires on my stock highboy 1976 will fit without having to do anything to truck. I have 16.5 x 12.5x 33 on there now and want a bigger tire. Anyone know?????

So I have read time and time again that they will. Arrow indicates what might need trimmed just a bit.

Either the fender flare bottom inner edge edge or the actual metal fender behind it. Just that curled in lip part.

Does anyone have these tires on their truck? Or 37's, did you have to trim anything?

At one point I had these on with no lift. I did have the front fenders modified a little but I don't know of that was actually needed. I had my 40" groundhawgs on with no lift which really are aliens the same size just much wider. I think you will be fine. I'll see if I can find a picture or 2 from back then.

All I did was notch the fenders to make the bend then added wheel well liners to make it less noticeable. Most people never notice. These are mounted on stock wheels and are a real pain to get blown up. Narrow rims like theses are definitely better. We tried many tricks but it came down to using tire mounting compound. If you try a 9 3/4" rim all I have to say is good luck.

I put a set on this past fall. I can't speak for the rear fitting because of my flat bed but the front fit perfect. The front is completely stock. 1976 f250 highboy. I did buy aftermarket wheels. US Wheels 16.5" x 10"wide 4.5" of backspacing.

May depend on the condition of your springs as well. I had new springs (stock height) under my '75 and I have no doubt it would clear 37s (mine was on 35s).

Yes, they fit! I have some on my 76 highboy with worn out springs and they clear fine (even with a narrower 72 rear end). I'm running them on old Jackman rims. Go for it. It's like an over drive. (10 mph difference on speedo)
