I timecerted my plugs a couple of years ago and thought I was done working on the old ford. First exhaust stud is missing on the drivers side. Don't know whether to change them this summer or wait till some more break off. I thought about cutting the nuts off before the completely corrode off. The stud sticking out might give me a better shot. I have learned on here getting the fender liners out is a lot easier than I thought. Oh well, I'm retired now so I have the time.
Yeah, I have the same issue to deal with this spring...Exhaust studs. I am saving for the Thorley headers to replace. I am getting tired of the light pinging.

I started off with two broken studs on my V-10 and when I installed my Banks headers the rest of the rusty studs came right out with a socket on the stud nuts.
I had nine total break off level with the head when I went to change gaskets. I ended up buying a dewalt 90 degree drill and drilling them all out. It was a terrible process that took me 19 hours straight.
I got really lucky yesterday when when replacing my manifold gaskets and studs. All 10 studs came out with no problem at all, took about 7 hours. Studs looked like brand new inside of the head and had anti-seize in them, but my old mechanic used cheap gaskets that were paper thin. Did a tune up while I was at it, as well as taking out the muffler that was shot and welding in a 3in pipe in its place. Was a little nervous about that because I've heard some v10's that have this terrible high frequency drone, but mine sounds great. Never heard a v10 like it IMO, has a deep throaty rumble, and once it hits 2,000 rpm's it sounds mean as hell. Absolutely no drone in the cab what so ever, and very quiet when cruising, couldn't be happier after a 250 mile trip today. My truck runs and sounds better than it has in a couple years.
