Thanks again for all the help. Here's a picture of the truck, brought it home this weekend. The nice gentlemen let it go for $2,800.

Congrats. Looks like a winner. Be careful with those '71 grill inserts cuz they are not reproduced. We have a neat fix if any of the tabs for the polished bars are broken.

Btw, the engineers at GM must be on crack.... wheels are round but their wheel wells are square..them trucks suffer from epic-sized wheel gap.

Could you help me out... I thought my truck was a 1970? Did I read the VIN Tag incorrectly?

Reads as Aug 1970. could have sold as 70 or 71.
