My truck displayed the low battery message after shut down, started this when the truck was a year old. I finally replaced the Motorcraft battery"even though testing says good battery" and all is good now. Not sure if this is what your looking for?

My 2012 shuts off phone and radio in 10 minutes. 45 minutes is insane long time.

Cstoc235 is talking about when the key is in accessory mode; after a while the truck insists you shut off or start up.

Yeah, it's part of the battery management system in the new trucks. Kind of annoying at times, but less annoying than a dead battery.

Oh, I see. Ya, I don't use accessory mode. Can result in dead batteries.

Haha yes, in acc mode, my stereo only stays on for 45 minutes, can that be disabled some how? Iv never worried about killing a battery form running the stereo all day. Is it in the stereo or the trucks wiring itself? I replaced the battery today and immediately it displayed system off to save battery, it's brand new and fully charged. Effectively making my stereo useless with out the engine running.

Like Izzy said, its part of the battery management software in the truck. There is no way to disable it as far as I know. I just start the truck for 5 min and reset the timer.

Update, I disconnected the bms current sensor that is on the negative side of the battery terminal, no more timer! Or warning lights.

That's good thinking! Any downside noticed yet?

None, I had it inspected by ford the other day for an extended warranty, they hooked up to it and passed it with flying colors, as long as you can tell when your killing the battery, all is good!!
