14 battery minder question
hey guys, back in a f150. Brought home a 14 xlt supercag 4x4 yesterday and after driving 2 hours shut it off then decided to fiddle with radio and imediatley after turning key to acc, the screen on the radio gives me a low battery start truck message. everything looks good on gauges and it starts fine. are these things that picky, I haven't put a meter on it yet today but I recall my 2011 would only go 15 minutes or so and fuss about starting it. the 15 S.D. will go for quite a while before complaining. anyone else have one this fussy or fixed one like it? My 13' would do that also & the only thing that fixed it was replacing the battery. Unfortunately, yes I believe they are just that "picky" as I wasn't having any issues with starting, etc. either. My truck actually sits a lot, so I got a Battery Tender Jr & keep her plugged in.
