I have tried many times to calibrate the onboard compass on my 2011 f-250.
After going through the menu and attempting to calibrate; I drive in SLOW circles till the next phase of the moon and my message is still "calibrating".
It will never calibrate and never work. I have come to the conclusion something may be wrong. What is it? Fuse? Mirror? Wiring? Modulatgongulator?
My opinion of that gadget is that there are a bunch more things to 'fuss with' on my truck then that. It gives a general idea of NSEW which for practical purposes is just fine. It never calibrated right in my long gone '06 F350 or the even longer gone but still chuggin', '97 T-Bird.

Welcome to the forum, batjac mercenary. It might be time to bring the compass to the attention of your local Ford Dealership; I know they'd be happy to get things pointing in the right direction again. How many miles are on your rig?

Thanks for responding, batjac mercenary. I recommend proceeding with diagnosis at your dealership. Once they've taken a look, I'll be able to jump in and assist.
