I have lean code readings on my 98 E-350 super duty 275hp engine. What should I do? I know about the PVA (?) hose and the map clean or replace and places to look for vacuum leaks including the water spray to find intake manifold leaks, but I need more hints and tricks.

List your engine displacement: ie 5.4, 6.8 etc----more helpful than "275hp"
Typically those codes show a lean condtion, most likely the 90* fitting at the back of the throttle body leading from the PCV tubing. They tend to be covered in a thick insulation so when/if that part cracks its nearly impossible to see without digging a bit deeper.
