Frame eng. mounts?
Can the frame mounts for a 240 eng. be used if you're sawping a 5.0? Or do I need to get the frame mounts specific for a small block?
Thanks for your help guys.

Your 240 mounts are 1" taller then 302 mounts. You would need mounts from a 302 or a 73-79 truck with a 351M or 400.

Thanks ND, Somebody has to keep me lined out. Basicly any Bump or Dent with a 302, 351M or 400. After 45 years a lot of swaps have been made.

So the 1" height difference really that critical? Just thinking about it being a small block, I figure if 351/400 is same frame mount wouldn't that eng. be taller than 5.0?

The 302 perches not only are shorter than the six cylinder/FE perches, they also move the 302 back towards the firewall.
You can get the 302 perches from any '69-1/2 through 1979 donor truck that came with a 302.
If your truck is a pre-'69-1/2 model, you'll have to drill two additional holes (per side) in the crossmember to bolt down the lower ends of the 302 perches.

Thanks Ultra. My frame is a 67. Any pics or measurements as where to drill the holes?
