LED turn signal issues.

Not sure where I should post this, thought about putting it in the superduty section but don;t always get the best responses over there. Anyhow, I bought LEDs awhile back to switch everything over, I put them in and I had fast/irregular blinking so I took them back out. Finally got myself an electronic blinker and installed it and the LEDs again and now everything blinks with my flashers. By everything I mean the dash lights, the both side turn signals, front sidemarker lights, mirror marker lights (6.0 style mirrors) cab marker lights and 3rd brake light.

When I switch the LEDs for regular old bulbs everything works fine though.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Baatzy

Baatzy, there was a thread not too long ago about this same thing where someone had to install a certain brand/type of LED blinker. I will see if I can find it.

EDIT: Found it, see if this helps you out.

I went digging and found the package, I put in the Novita EP27 flasher that seemed to be the one highly regarded in the thread you linked to Sous. I am not sure where to move next as the lights work fine and blink at the correct rate when installed. The problem is everything else blinks as well.

I am going to do some different testing and see what I can come up with. If anybody has any good insights on this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Baatzy

what type of LEDs are you using (or bulbs?) in the dash/other lights?? I have all LEDS in the mustang except 4 lamps and side marker lamps, and the 5 main lamps in the truck for the dash and do not have this flashing issue you describe...

The LEDs in the mirrors are whatever they come with, no idea what those are, and the ones in the cab mount lights are from recon. The other LEDs are just cheapos, something the local Oreillys had to get rid of. They have been working flawlessy up till now, but I hadn't gotten the correct flasher till lately. Dash lights and what not are just the stock regular old bulbs.

Do you run all LEDs on your truck? If so, what brand?

Yes, I am still in the process of conversion, but my main 5 dash lights are already LED, they are the Sylvania bulbs. Pic below of the packageing, and yes they are from AutoZone

Have you tried converting the turn signals over at all? I am curious if the sylvania lights cause any issues?
