Sander all of the sudden started bogging down in contact with surface. Runs optimal in open air but bogs down as soon as it comes in contact. I checked air pressure, inlet screen, and have been properly lubing it every hour or so. I'm running at its max air setting of 90 psi. What's happened?
Crap and crud at times will build up around the bearings in air tools I have found, thus "dragging". Many tools are a simple take apart, clean, oil and put back together with good results. I can remember a couple that were "renewed" by pouring lacquer thinner in the air coupling inlet ,turning/spinning the tool by hand as all the nasty stuff runs out toward the head and makes a mess. Do it over and over until the crappy stuff is pretty darn clean running out, then oil and give it a try with air. You are cleaning the interior without tearing it apart. Keep in mind that right now you are ready to throw the d.a. away so if the thinner happens to eat up a seal or something you aren't out anything.I've had no ill affects the few times I've done this. Good luck! Gary

Narrowed it down a bit, drive spindle will only turn freely clockwise. It get locked up internally when going counter clockwise. It's still under warranty, I might just exchange it if I'm going to have to open it up.
