Air tools

Not so sure my air wrench is up to it's stated torque ratings. Can they be rebuilt? It's a Snap-On Bluepoint.

the air motor can surely be rebuilt, probably with off the shelf parts that can be had from snap-on

Otherwise when you take it apart, there is a drum with spring loaded vanes, the vanes are what catch the air and make it spin, if it gets dirty air and the bore gets scratched up the vanes could break or weak, I think the vanes are made of phenolic or something along those lines..........they can be made from the right thickness material and an xacto knife

I take mine apart and clean the dirt out of them add a like wd and they work good, also check down in the bottom were the air comes in sometimes there is a screen in the inlet and the dirt from air lines plug up that.

Use an air tool lubricator. Check my gallery for specs and pics.

Thanks to all. I did take it apart and there was some dirt but didn't seem like much. Cleaned it and WD and back together. I am hoping thats all it was. I have yet to test it at it's full capacity.

Use air tool oil rather than WD. WD and other oils will gum up the innards.
