A/C problems

A/C problems
Have a 2006, E 350, 6.0 diesel, am trying to find out how to diagnose a no cold problem, a/c compressor does not seem to run even after trying to re charge it. Are there ways to temporarily turn on the compressor or some kind of trouble shooting guide for my van to test the systems out. Thanks, Tom

I'm not familiar with that year or engine but the obvious thing to me is to apply power directly to the clutch. Before that, I'd jump the connector at the refrigerant pressure switch.

If you've confirmed you have +12 at the compressor connector when A/C is commanded then most likely there is a problem with the electric clutch.
