Does anyone have a good sourch for a matching set of shocks for a 64 F100, 2WD, stock height? It seems the normal parts store route is a mix and match affair.

Guess I don't know what is meant by mix and match but I got my shocks at Carquest.

"Mix and Match", example Monroe only lists a Gasmatic or Gas Magnum for the rear for 2WD but only lists fronts for a 4WD, therefore selecting the same series/model of shock for front and rear is difficult. Selecting shocks for 65 and up years is much easier. Rare Parts has a selection of standard duty and heavy duty shocks for front and rear that'll fit the 64 but they are a bit pricey.
I never paid it much mind. So long as they fit right and do the job, I can live with Monroes on the front and Gabriels in the back? Or whatever it is. I have a pair of KYB as rear shocks as it happens. Selection for the fronts is more limited I think, with bayonet mount type. '64 is an orphan year, lots of WTF'ery on some of the parts.

I guess it's my OCD of working in military aviation for 20 years kicking in on the shocks matching.
I did find AC Delco matching shocks, naw can't bring myself to do that.
Tend to shop for quality shocks at most reasonable price. Found NAPA usually has a decent selection and been able to find a match set, not sure who manufacturers their shocks but seem to hold up well. I have shopped online with Summit Racing Equipment, they carry an assortment and usually ship same day and item arrives in 2-3. Summit also offers a hassle free return policy; having said that, tend to shop locally in event there's a problem with an item?
Try napa, thats were i bought a full set for my 64 f250 4x4. Parts for the 2wd are way easier to find than for mine. Not sure if they are all the same or not but they come in the same boxes and all look alike so who will ever know.
