weird radio problem.

hey guy we got a factory radio out a junkyard truck came out a 94 truck and we put it in a 92.

it works. but when you turn the park and headlights one the radio lights turn out. you can still work the radio just cant see what your doing.

anyone have this problem?

It should dim when the lights are on. Try turning the headlight **** to brighten your dash lights.

yea i have tryed that and nothing.

as soon you turn the park lights on the lights go fade to nothing same for headlights. have no clue why its doing it

If you can find the wiring diagrams for both years you could compare, but I dont think they changed anything. Autozone.com had free wiring diagrams a while back, probably still do.

yep.every thing else works fine just the radio fades to nothing. you can still work the radio but you cant see the time or station your on

Just throwing an idea here...it sounds to me like the wiring is not the exact same between the 2 years. the first link is for the 94
