dim panel lights

I have a 1998 f-150 Lariet 4WD with a 4.6 engine with only 55000 miles. I have noticed recently that the panel light in the clock/radio comes on bright enough but after a few minutes you can barely see the numbers. Do you think this is a bulb going bad or something else? Any info would be appreciated.

That is the only thing you notice?

No other lights are doing this in the dash?

Is it only during the day when you have the running lights or headlights off? How is it when the headlights/running lights are on?

This is the factory radio correct?

Only the radio/clock lights. The regular dash lights are fine. My truck is not equipped with automatic running lights and it is the OEM radio

When I first start the truck the radio lights are pretty bright (normal) but within 5 or 6 minutes they start to dim
